Plan Administrator Information
The Pension Plan administrator supervises day-to-day administration of the
Pension Plan. The governing body of the Pension Plan is the Pension Committee.
This committee appoints the Pension Plan administrator, interprets the Pension
Plan, establishes the Pension Plan’s administrative structure, and oversees
its operation.
Funding of the Pension Plan
Your benefits under the Pension Plan are funded entirely by contributions from
participating employers. The amount of annual contribution is determined by an
independent actuarial firm in accordance with Internal Revenue Service regulations.
The contributions are held by the Trustee. The assets in the Trust are invested
by investment managers selected and monitored by the Pension Committee. The Trustee
will make monthly benefit payments to you when you become eligible for them. The
books and records of the Pension Plan are kept on a calendar year basis, which
is the Pension Plan Year.
Amendments or Termination of the Plan
Trinity Health intends to continue the Pension Plan indefinitely, but reserves
the right to amend or terminate the Pension Plan at any time. If the Pension Plan
is wholly or partially terminated, the accrued benefits of participants affected
will become fully vested, and distribution would be made in accordance with provisions
of the Pension Plan.
